Dead Serious, Half Joking.
The Radical Middle Path
Welcome to Dead Serious, Half Joking.
No saints. No systems. No cheap certainty.
The Radical Middle Path
The Radical Middle Path lives between extremes - where contradictions breathe, where philosophy meets a punchline, where you laugh at the absurd and still feel the weight of it. Where we’re neither afraid to look into the mirror nor to look back out of it.
I write about the things we pretend are simple but aren’t. One post per week.
Sometimes more. Always sharp. Always Dead Serious, Half Joking.
The Quest for Yesterday
I’ll (re)-release my first novel “The Quest for Yesterday” chapter by chapter on a weekly basis once we’ve reached 616 subscribers. Want it sooner? Share it. Recommend it. Drag your people in.
The book first came out in 2018 in Austria, I self-sold 300 copies - on street corners, at poetry slams, in night clubs. My publisher? He moved 17, then told me I was a nobody who’d never make it. Now the rights are mine again. I translated it to English. And this time it’s going out on my terms.
It’s a satirical story about Werner - a guy who’s fed up with his life - walks out the front door without keys, wallet, or phone. Armed only with three cigarettes and no lighter, he survives the night. One absurd chapter in his journey every week.
I’m not publishing into silence, so bring your crowd!
I’m calling the outsiders, the misfits, the ones who get it.
If that’s you, join in!
Who Walks With Me?
This isn’t for everyone.
It’s for the seekers and skeptics, the half-believers who can’t stop searching.
For the ones allergic to dogma but still starving for meaning. For those called too serious, too ironic, too much of both - the cynical optimists, the skeptical idealists.
The Radical Middle Path is tension carried with honesty.
The refusal to collapse into extremes, or to dodge responsibility by looking away.
Truth lives in between. The deepest lessons are learned through a stranger’s eyes.
If you’ve ever wanted philosophy without the velvet robe, literature without the ivory tower, comedy without the safety net - this is it.
Welcome. You’re already on the path.

I observe, act, and think - moving through the world, testing ideas against reality, and reporting back. Everything I write starts as a question, not a claim. I’m chasing perspective, not truth. I don’t need to be right; I just want to be heard - and to hear you.
Each month, I pick a theme that’s been haunting my thoughts, dissect it, and share what I’ve found (and what still confuses me). My hope is that you’ll read, respond, and help me push the thought further.
Let’s enter a conversation!
Here’s what you’ll get:
One Flagship Essay - the thematic anchor for the month
One Echo - a reflection expanding on the Flagship
One Counterpoint - a post that challenges or contradicts it
One Field Note - a short story or observation to reset perspective (and occasionally, make you laugh)
Some months run long, others short - but you’ll never get fillers.
Free to Read. Paid to Matter.
Everything I write here is free. Always.
Because perspective only matters when shared.
If you choose to go paid, it’s not for access. It’s for solidarity.
You’re not buying more; you’re saying: This matters.
There’s no benefit in exclusivity. Except for the exclusive.
Founding members? I call them Non-Fungible People.
Because people aren’t tokens.
If you’re real, you’re welcome.
I’m looking for resonance.
NON SERVIAM.
Never on your knees.
Be proud. Be provident.
Take your chances - or make them.
Scio. Volo. Imperio.
Chris
